How many times things happen in our life "by chance"? Well that's exactly how Minissha Lamba's acting career started. Minissha Lamba never set out to become an actress. She graduated from Miranda House, Delhi in 2004 with a degree in English (Honours). Minissha actually wanted to pursue academics. She took up modeling to explore the glamour world and make some quick bucks. But fortunately this hobby took her to many places.
Her first break happened with Cadbury when she was selected among many via an audition. Later she took up a number of commercials for LG, Sony, Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, and Sunsilk respectively. She was then signed to plummet into her first Bollywood movie, Yahaan, which was directed by Shoojit Sarcar. The movie didn't gross a lot of moolah at the box office, but it did garner a lot of attention for Minissha. Her career took off and she was then seen in movies such as Corporate, Rocky: The Rebel, Anthony Kaun Hai, Honeymoon Travels, Anamika, Shaurya and Dus Kahaniyaan. Her most recent release Bachna Ae Haseeno performed quite well at the box office. You know what they say in the film industry? If the Yashraj camp signs you, that is proof enough that you have arrived. Minissha Lamba has truly arrived and is here to stay.
